Meet In Place Impact
We design community-centric frameworks that allow business and government leaders to do well by doing good.
In Place Impact believes that modern business owners and leaders are the most important people in the sustainable future room. We are the company that designed Impact Economics, which is a Capitalism for Good framework that provides benefits for every stakeholder in a community, city, or country, while also helping to create communities which become economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable for ALL residents.
Via our Impact Economics Maestro Network, we also train and certify individuals, teams, and public/private partnerships to create new, or expand existing locally focused (In Place), Consulting Companies. Each certification comes with an exclusive territory license, allowing the holders to embed Impact Economics "In Place", in their own communities, cities, or countries.
Our Story
Tired of listening to "Change Makers" malign businesses and their owners, and frustrated that the organizations he supported through donations for causes he cared about were not putting a dent in those problems, our Founder chose to create something new. Knowing that the, "Making a Profit While Making a Difference" platform he co-created in 1993 worked, he started designing new economic-ecosystem frameworks that used business and economics to solve socioeconomic and environmental problems. It was important to him that it be inclusive of marginalized people as solution innovators, in addition to being solution recipients.
In 2006, Stuart and his partner sold the company they had started in 1991, and after an 18-month transition and another sale, by 2008 he was ready to start bringing his vision to life.
What We Value
We believe that creating local economies that thrive is an imperative. All over the world local economics are struggling because way too much capital is leaving the local economic ecosystem, and there is not enough local innovation to create companies that can replace it.
Furthermore, segments of communities and cities are being blocked from receiving the CapitalS (the "S" is very important) they need to participate in and personally benefit from creating a sustainable future.
We value local. We value local cultures, constructs, histories, ceremonies, and traditions. We value our work being done "In Place", and helping all stakeholders contribute to increasing economic vibrancy while they themselves do well by doing good.
01
In Place
By certifying local people in Impact Economics, we can ensure that increases in economic vibrancy remain within their communities while unique local traditions etc., can remain intact.
02
Education
The award winning classes we have designed for colleges and schools are based on our own "Consequential Learning" platform. We are helping move education into this century.
03
Innovation & Investment
We help communities create vibrant hubs of impact innovation. All residents have the opportunity to attend free classes, providing access to the "CapitalS" they need to bring their own solutions to life.
04
Capitalism for Good
All of the work we do is founded upon the platform of "Making A Profit While Making A Difference". We help our clients increase their own profits while having a greater impact.
05
Shared Values Fee Structure
We work on a unique shared values fee structure. We ask our clients to redirect 20% of the fees they would have paid us to help fund local education and innovation.
06
Equality of Opportunity
We ensure that every community sector, segment, or stakeholder is included in our frameworks where what is good for one, is good for all.
